DRC Digital

Operations and software consulting for trade contractors

From builder PO to payment, set up to fit how your crews work.

We map how your jobs and money move, help you pick the right system, set it up, and build what no product covers.

See how an engagement runs

DRC Digital brings 10+ years of field and project experience. We work with contractors wherever the job is.

A concrete crew places and levels a fresh slab: one worker runs a power screed along the form while two others spread concrete behind him.
Hands going over a printed account statement at a wooden desk, with a calculator, a pen and an open laptop beside the paperwork.

Sound familiar?

  • I've got builder POs in one place, the crew's paperwork in another, and nobody can tell me which lots are done but not billed.
  • We finish work and forget to invoice it. Or the builder pays short and nobody notices until the end of the year.
  • Every pay day it's a fight over which lots a sub did, what we already paid, and whether the backcharge came off.
  • I don't know if a job made money until my accountant tells me, months later. By then it's too late to fix anything.
  • Every demo looks great. I'm scared of paying for a system, spending a year setting it up, and ending up back in Excel.

Under all five is the same problem. The process lives in one person's head, one spreadsheet or one inbox. When that person is out, nobody else can tell where the money is.

What DRC Digital does

Four kinds of work. Hire us for one or for all four.

Map how work and money move

We write down how jobs, POs, invoices and payments move today, and which handoffs depend on one person or one inbox. Nothing in your systems changes while we look.

Process mapping and blueprints

Choose the system

Your real cases become tests. Each product runs them in a live demo, and every score says how strong the evidence is.

Software selection

Set it up and train people

A staged rollout with old and new running side by side. A short manual for each role. A guide so you can run it without us.

Setup and onboarding

Build what no product covers

Phone-friendly forms for crews, schedule workbooks, approval flows, and connections between the systems you already have.

Field tools and connections

The rule everything hangs on

Every job gets one identity: customer, community, lot, job. Money moves through four separate stages: authorized, completed, billed, paid. Every dollar is counted once. A bill shared by several lots is split between them, never copied onto each.

Get that right and the hard questions get easy. Which lots are done but not billed? Which invoices were paid short? Did this job make money?

Why DRC Digital

We come from the field

DRC Digital brings 10+ years of field and project experience. Our team's experience includes sheet metal journeyman work in commercial HVAC, BIM/VDC, project management, residential field management, and managing subcontractors in the installed building-products industry. You will not spend the first month explaining what a lot is.

We build the tools, not only the slide deck

Our recommendations come from building and running working tools: schedule workbooks, request forms, internal web apps and our own books. If a product leaves a gap, we can build it, test it and hand it over.

We pick software honestly

We score products against your written requirements and your own messy cases, in a live demo. Every score states its evidence. Options come as paths with plain trade-offs, and sometimes the answer is buy, do not build.

We work in English and Spanish. Field screens and crew paperwork can be set up in the language your crew uses.

Proof, labeled for what it is

Every item on the Work page carries one of three labels, so you always know what you are looking at. Here is one of each.

Founder experience

Tools built in the field

As a field manager at a regional installed building-products company, our founder built a scheduling workbook, a mobile extra-work request form and an internal requests and approvals app. This is founder experience, not DRC Digital client work.

Questions about DRC Digital

What does DRC Digital do?

DRC Digital helps trade contractors choose, set up and connect the software that runs a job from purchase order to payment. We map how your work and money move, write the requirements, score products against them, and build field tools and connections where no product fits. We are based in North Carolina and work wherever the job is.

Who is DRC Digital for?

Owners and office managers of residential and light-commercial trade contractors: concrete, framing, masonry, HVAC, siding, roofing and installers who run the business on spreadsheets, email and apps that do not talk to each other. We work with contractors across the United States, by video call and on site.
